i dont know if fila "owned" the pinstripe but borg's shirts surely were that style, but if the shirts look good nonetheless

Yes, I mean they "borrowed" heavily on the iconic look of the Fila Borg line. Sure Fila doesn't "own" the pinstripe, but thanks to Borg this particular Fila shirt has gained a certain notoriety and is often referenced (see "The Royal Tenenbaums", "The Squid and the Whale"), that is has become one of the quintessential references for a tennis shirt, much like what the Zippo is for lighters.

Nike being such a design driven company I am a little surprised that they ended up so close to such an obvious reference, especially as Nike is generally creating those design icons themselves.

Having said that, it is really nice.

Hey, if Tourna/Unique can sue Yonex over a color, I think Fila can get a pretty good case on Nike for that shirt. Ridiculous lawsuit? Yeah. Possibly successful? Definitely.

The shirts are pretty cool, I might pick up one of those hoodies if they're not WAY too overpriced.

Didn't Courier wear a shirt like that at one time. I think it was a Supreme Court shirt or something and was a white/off-white with red pinstripes. I think it was supposed to look like his beloved Cincinatti Reds uniforms.
