Default Discovered some amazing with 1hbh!

I have just discovered something amazing that really really works. I've been working on my 1hbh for 3 or 4 years now, trying to find that one missing part. Sometimes my backhand is great, sometimes it's terribly inconsistent.

Then, one day, I saw a video of Justine Henin on youtube practicing her 1hbh. Her left elbow in the takeback is incredibly high, so I studied what she was doing and took that to the practice court with me. And to my amazement!, I began hitting the backhand I've been looking for. That one piece is what helped me to become way more consistent. Now, I've been hitting it for about a week now, and it is working beautifully. I've never ever been more consistent with my backhand. I mean it helps with everything in my swing--even my early preparation to hit the ball. I'm hitting with more power and I'm not even swinging nearly as hard.

Anyway, I just wanted to share that with you guys and maybe get your comments on Justine's take back on the backhand.

I had the exact same problem, then I watched Gasquet and Henin, and I say the way they took it back, then I went to the courts and I was hitting huge down the liners that took my friend my surprise (I was too). Henin is defenitly a good role model for the looped 1 handed backhand.

That high elbow take back forces you to get your shoulders turned, as well as get the racket back.

It happens with me time to time with my 1hbh, and it usually always is a technique glitch.
