I think Tech usually starts ealier than other schools but ends a little bit earlier as well. I wish it started a little later and ended a little earlier.... but we can't have the cake and eat it too, you know...

When do you leave for the windy city?

Oh jeez, I have no idea how to do that!

Just a warning, frequency will more than likely decrease when I go 'back to school' (I'm a teacher). I'm not sure if my blog will get blocked or not with our firewall. I think I'm going to try to figure out some way of updating on specific days? Or maybe just whenever something happens...I don't know, still working out some kinks!

But thank you for the positive feedback!

Oh, and I'm having my wisdom teeth out Friday, so depending on how long I stay unconscious, I may miss some quarter/semi action.

Not until the second week of September.

It's really late and all my friends who are going to Tech, VCU, and UVA are all leaving either this weekend or next. I'm kinda bummed.

Starlite, I think it's better to start school later than earlier. While your friends are studying hard, you'll be on your couch watching the US Open with popcorn on your hand!

lol @ Topaz's post. I wish I was out of school and working!

Haha, yeah too bad I'll be watching all alone...

Hopefully in the next year or so (when I scare up some $$$) I'll be able to go to Flushing Meadows and see it live!

Topaz, don't feel bad, you're not old! Oh, and Schmad be careful what you wish for! My mom tells me every day that people in school have it easy, and the work force isn't all that.

Your mom is right!!! Though, I can't complain too much, as far as jobs go, I think mine is pretty cool.

Thank you!

I'm an elementary school music teacher. I get to teach what I love, I don't give homework, and I get a schedule that accomodates trips to districts and tournaments quite easily!

Bumpity Bump... sorry guys. I am out of tennis this week again. I played a "little" too much tennis over the last couple of days and need at least a week for my hand to heal. I ended up with blisters on my thumb, index finger and the base of my palm. I continued on playing without treating the blister and wore through the layer of skin. I'll spare you the rest of the gory details of my blister.

Ouch! I hear if you put lemon juice on it and top it off with a little salt, it will feel much better. *totally kidding*.

Get better. I want you 100% healthy for the SC tournament.

Great blog again Topaz!

I love the: "Mini-wrap ups...sounds more like a snack than a post."

I can't wait for your US Open blogs. So much I will bring my laptop on my trip just to check it out (can you feel the pressure!).

Well, since you're actually going, and I'll be stuck at pre-service week at school, with no coverage, maybe *you* should blog! You could be my first 'guest' blogger!

Somewhere in the middle of sleeping for two days, I had a great idea for the blog, and it had something to do with the Montreal/Toronto tournies, and I can not, for the life of me, remember what the great idea was! See kids...drugs are bad!

Ouch! I only had that happen once on my thumb callous.

I got your email...I'm just not caught up yet! (of course, if I spent less time here on TTW, that probably wouldn't be a problem!)

Hmm... Lemon Juice and Salt? Excellent Idea... time to go make some Margarita's with a hint of blister.
