No reply to my post regarding wrist movement ? I will take that as a concession that you agree. Verdasco video shows he goes from 90 degree layback to 45 degrees at contact showing wrist action thru the ball. |

Oh, sorry, I didn't even see that post. But -no, I don't concede that at all. It's hard to tell from the angle of the shot what the orientation of his arm is, but it seems to be almost fully out in front of his body - and definitely past a 45 degree angle, and the racquet is just short of being parallel to the baseline. Moreover, I think you get a better idea by just looking at the orientation of racquet to arm, rather than taking the two separately, and that orientation on contact looks to be damned close to 90 degrees, and certainly nowhere near 45. Again, though, the angle makes it difficult to say conclusively.
