Default McEnroe throwing a tantrum at age 48

Mac is Hilarious, Seriously though is he ever going to grow up. He is such a great commentator, I just can't believe he still acts like this on the court.

McEnroe is an excellent role model for the 10 year old ball boy taking it all in. . . NOT!

McEnroe is as arse! He doesn't get a pass from me. The umpire should default him.

I agree with you, The example he sets is pitiful. It is really to bad that he still acts like that. I guess maybe he just thinks he has a reputation to uphold.

McEnroe is expected to ill-tempered on the court. It's his personality, and that's what people pay to see, so he gives the crowd what they want. All part of the act.

My thoughts exactly! I love Johnny Mac. Although his behavior is unacceptable, he certainly is entertaining to watch.

I love that video of Ivan Lendl hitting McEnroe and shutting him up.. Don't get me wrong, it is entertaining to watch McEnroe, but if I was an opponent of McEnroe I would start hitting those ball straight at him and try to hit him, just to prove a point and maybe shut him up.

Exactly - the average tennis fan wants to see a big blow up, just like the average hockey fan is disappointed if he doesn't see at least one fight...People want to see something unusual / special...

That is a poor display by Johnny Mac, but he redeems himself in the commentator booth time and time again.

I can't bring myself to hate Johnny Mac. Even if it's part of an act, he was spewing expletives in front of a kid.......but....you know what, I still love him.

He's the kinda guy that can be an ***, but is not really an ******* like Jimmy

I could not agree more with both variables of this statement.

Did anyone see the Champions event when he played Sampras in Boston? He was complaing about a serve being called out and Pete walked up pointed to the spot and said something like "what are you looking at John? The ball was a foot about, stop complaining and serve the ball". It was priceless to see the look on Macs face.

Anyone have a video link to that? I'd love to see it...

Seems a bit scripted. I think it was all part of the show.
