I don't know if this has been discussed before but I guess it'll be a good idea to have the tennis equivalent of the Ryders Cup or The Presidents Cup. I know there's the Davis Cup but it's more like a World Cup, instead why don't we have a crop of top European players (FedEx, Nadal, Djokovic, Gasquet, etc etc) and pit them against say, the rest of the World (Nalbandian, Roddick, Blake, etc etc)? Is this kind of idea possible?

Not criticising your post but we already have so many tournaments all squeezed into one tight year. Plus, the best players are all European, the Americas stand no chance.
