Default things i have to say about tennis for the year of 2007

alot of you probably think the same way about some of these but i just thought i'd post them. post yours as well.

1: Sharapova is not overrated, cocky maybe but not overrated.
2: Kuznetsova is probably the most inconsistent top ten women out there right now. she ranks up there with hantuchova
3: if bartoli was fit, she could be a good top ten player.
4. my wish for nalbandian to finally play to his potential has come true
5. our top two american women need to be replaced because they're too cocky for their own good.
6. doubles needs to be shown more often. i had more fun watching the us open mixed doubles final than the mens singles or womens singles final.
7. i think davydenko really is involved with the gambling scandel
8. john isner proved to me that the o3 white can be used by a male and it not look gay
9. i wish more players used one handed backhands.
10. roddick should be proud about his effort against federer in the us open. he played wonderfully even though he lost.
11. what's going to happen if federer goes on the decline and starts losing tons of matches. will wilson completely drop him from all of the wilson products that are plastered with his face. (cough "sellout" cough)

just ranting so no flaming please

12. Once again Serena didn't dominate (as predicted) after her triumphs at the Australian Open and Miami

regarding our top 2 american women....they are cocky, yes, but one of them is just too fat for their own good. Hard to consistently compete when you move and look like a cow.

1. Overrated? Depends on your perception.
2. Yup.
3. Nah. She won't reach another GS final.
4. Yup. Hope christmas 2007 break doesn't affect his current level of play.
5. No comment.
6. It can be if you get the right people playing.
7. Yup. They've got him by the balls.
8. No comment.
9. The top Men & Women play 1 HBH.
10. Yes, but his results since the US Open have been less than stellar.
11. No way. Wilson would still want to be associated with him because he has a genuine attempt at surpassing 14 GS soon.

Who else does the Americans have, except for the possible comeback of Lindsay Davenport? That little girl from the the tennis tips commercials, on TTC?

Did he even play a match after the USO? I'm pretty sure he pulled out of Madrid and Paris.

Do you mean "the top Men & Women", as in the number 1 ranked position? Or, a count of the top-10 or top-20 players?

Calindy, that's her name...

I mean, people has talked about how they are not good for tennis, all the other BS. But who do they have to step up to the plate? The best chance is Sharapova becoming an official US citizen.

agreed...you cannot say roddick's played less than stellar when he hasnt really played since the us open....exception to davis cup

he's appearing more mature and focused now....although withdrawing from some tournaments, i think he knew he did so for better scheduling....he was already going to qualify for shanghai, no point in rushing for the #4 ranking with davydenko playing every week, and he looks fresh and rested right now, already assured a semifinal spot

I agree about the point on the top american women...Serena is so over confident and full of herself and yet her results this year arent that good. but her and venus as really all america has right now, davenport is back but she may only play another couple of years. we have vania king, but she isn't consistant, julie ditty is showing promise...but who knows. once the williams retire...the american women will be no where in the top 30
