Duzza,

You drew a tough match (5th seed,430AR) in frankston classic maindraw.

Won the 1st and then was steamrolled in last two sets, what happened! Did you get injured?

Ah well you can do well in consol / dlbs and get some pts.

Yeah, won the first quite easily, breaking in the first and last game of the set. Started to get some elbow twitches and the 2nd set kind of drifted away after I lost focus up till 4-0. Then I started to focus on the upcoming set, knowing I wasn't coming back.....but really played a poor 3rd set with a really weak serve that got broken too many times....

Consol was an interesting one....definitely a decent player but my serve was back on (had a 5 hour break) and I ran to 4-1. He fought back a little bit more and I became a lot more conservative which didn't help me. Then my elbow hit again, and a semi-sore thigh muscle didn't help pushing off for groundstrokes either. I started having to serve about 60% potential which lost me a lot of games. Got to 6-5 finally and had 3 (yes 3!) set points on the Deuce-Ad part of his service game. Finally let go and he won the TB really easily....then 2nd set was on serve till 4-5 where I basically broke myself!

[quote=OrangeOne;1977266]You are only pain free because you've never had to try and return my kicker to the backhand

Having recieved that serve i can truely say that .... it's not that good! Especially if i time my backhand you are gone down the line, cross court and even straight back at you

Nah, FF isn't coming down to Melbourne.... although if he was, he'd be bringing his mid-court forehand with him, which would be...interesting, for anyone sitting outside the fence anyways

So OO how many do you think there will be of you at this hit?

Just it would be nice if we had an even amount. I'm still not sure on Chia though.

There'll be three of us (me plus two mates), though I don't know how keen one mate will be (it'll depend on injury and time of play, but I reckon he'll be keen still). We're used to rotating on & off anyways, so if there's an odd number it won't worry any of us....

I have no idea of the hourly hire there, but I'm sure could get 2 courts from Barry for 20 bucks or even free. He is extremely easy going.

Court hire is fine - whatever is required we'll pay, and since we're the guests we'll bring the balls.

Cans of what? Slaz HCourt? Wilson AO? Something else preferred for en-tout-cas?

I buy Slaz H/C's but Wilson AO are also good. They are the ones I use mostly.

Do you guys call what we call 'synthetic grass'...'mod grass'? If so, there's no way we're going there , if I'm playing 900ks from home I want to play on a good surface for a change

As for balls - we'll get slaz or wilson then.

Ahhh, looking forward to it. Played 4.5 hours today by accident

Don't worry about Chia, he's just selfish. He wants all this tennis for himself

Duzza is the organiser, we're following his lead whether it's easy or not
