well that depends on the type of sprain, where it is on your foot and how much damage is done

more details would help

16, I am sorry to hear that. I sprained my ankle, well at least I thought it was a sprain, the third week of October and it took almost 3 months before I was able to play again. It still feels a little tight and fatigues easy

I suggest taking it easy and not to rush. You'll be playing soon enough.

well i was lucky enough to get into the my dads physical therapist (he mentioned it to the therapist and he was nice enough to give it a look) It seems i was luckier this time it was only a first degree sprain in whatever part of the foot that allows your foot to move out to the side. this time it will only be a week to recover and not a month. im lucky since our team finals are coming up in a week or 2.

First degree sprain = the ligaments get stretched and you suffer some relatively minor discomfort

Second degree sprain = Some of the ligaments actually get stretched and torn; you suffer some serious discomfort and probably have to sit out for 2-4 weeks

Third degree sprain = the ligaments are either torn in two or are torn away from the bone and joint destabilization occurs. Probably requires casting or maybe surgery to repair and several months to heal and recuperate.
