Barry seems to be the boards resident Eagnas/Maxline apologist. His experience with them was good. He got a working machine and has had no problems.

Others, like me, did not have a good experience with them. My machine did not work and they were unwilling to make it work. I'm not alone in getting a bad machine and/or getting very bad service after.

Why anyone who has read account after account of poor quality and support from Eagnas/Maxline would still take a chance in getting one of their stringers is beyond me.

It's the price. The Flex 740 is something like $220. A Fixed clamp Gamma or Alpha stringer is going to cost you around $450, if not more. It is very tempting to take the chance.
