Hope someone can help me out here. This has probably been asked before but here goes. What excercises should I be doing to improve performance on the tennis court, i.e. fatigue, strength, flexibilty. Thanks

A bit of background. 30 year old male, 3.5-4.0 player. 6'2 185-190lbs. I play between 2-3 times a week. Competitive match at least once a week. Baseliner (never go to net). Shoulder issues from when I was younger that cause me discomfort after 3-4 service games.

Check some of the fitness sites stickied in the first thread in the forum. I found particularly useful the USTA Player Development routine, which works great if you have limited gym access (all you need is a court, medicine ball, and exercise bands).
Aside from the free sources, you can consult with a personal trainer, who can design a program that suits your needs. The investment may be justified in light of your shoulder issues. Good luck.

You can do some jogging for endurance. If you want a tennis specific exercise, you should get a ball machine and practice your swings. If you don't have a ball machine or you don't want to go to a wall, swing your racquet around in open space. Nothing will get your tennis swings better than actually swinging the racquet. I've seen some karate guys develop great kicks by throwing a lot of kicks in the air.
