Is it worth saving the $150 to get the Flex? How good are the clamps on the Flex?

If you're lucky, you've just saved yourself 150 bucks. If you're unlucky, well, you've basically wasted a load of cash.

Happen to have the Flex 940. Got it around Christmas and have strung perhaps 20-30 racquets with no issues so far. From what I hear, this particular model is one of the one's you don't need to worry about. Avoid their electric and drop weight models though, and stick to models singled out on these forums such as the Flex 940.

I'm in the minority, but I would choose the Flex 940 over the Revo. I've strung on both. The Flex 940 is one of the Eagnas machines that doesn't get any bad reviews from it's owners. The mounting and clamps are very similar to me. Advantage of the Revo is the spring assisted clamp bases, thicker table, and it's reputation and love from the people here. Advantage of the Flex 940 is the stand and the price. To me the Flex 940 is a better buy.
If those are your 2 choices, I don't think you will go wrong. |
