Time to go up the mountain. I've got home from a long night of drinking around 3 hours ago. No sleep! Be afraid.

Curse you and the rain, Sup. By the way, I was at church when you called me.

I was planning to hit with you and PP today, but thanks a lot. Thanks.

I can't rock the Nadal shirt everyday - gotta mix it up. I did have a Nike headband on and I just picked up two Nike dri-fit t-shirts (BTW 20% off all Nike at City Sports in DC).

Thanks Shintan - yeah I"ve been putting in some work in the gym. Lost about 15 lbs - need to loose another 20-30 lbs to get back to my soccer playing weight.

Sup - Sorry I missed your call last night... no reception in the bar, which I didn't realize until I left the bar. The show was alright, my friend is just the lead guitar in the band... I don't know the rest of the dudes.

BTW, what happened on Friday night? I was pretty drunk by 9:00pm, so sorry if you showed up later and I wasn't there. I don't remember what time we left but it wasn't that late. There was some 80's theme party going on and all I remember was talking to two girls, one was dressed like Madonna and the other was supposed to be Punky Brewster maybe.

If I was sober enough I could've asked them to join the kickball team, hahaha.

Today I'm eating poke, drinking a Sapporo and watching "Old Boy" which I think is a Korean film. Pretty much have all my "Asian" bases covered.

For once, I was impressed by Sup's timing, as the shower was right on time to cool me off from my morning (ok, late morning) run. Ahhh...

I'm hoping we are once again 'on' for Thursday night mini-meet? Since the men's open is at Skyline this week, I definitely won't have clinic.

I think Monday and Tuesday it's supposed to be sunny... every day after that is calling for thunderstorms.

^^^Well now, can't let that stop us. I believe that has been the forecast for just about every day this summer!

I could play on Tuesday. My hitting partner just left for HI, so I'm bereft!

No fear; not enough rain to stop dedicated peaceniks. Got in some mixed at the season finale party for Reston's NOVA mixed doubles team, and I popped one of those nice new strings you put in my favorite racquet, the one with the 4 and 5/8" grip. Had to finish the match with the 4 and 1/2" grip, but managed to win, anyway.

Need new string. What say you? I'll be at Lake Newport Wednesday night, playing against Mighty Mary's team. What say you?

LOL
you guys always read it the wrong way. i meant that we had tried to get together to hit for like literally 8times, and finally on the phone we just decided right then and there to meet up instead of setting a date. so that was good...

Just want to post here that Nitefly's bbq thing was most outstanding today. i had lots of fun. his house is absolutely huge. complete with...well too much to list. aside from all teh yummy food, we even got to play some tennis. it rained but dried up quickly. Nitefly played drunk, which was pretty funny. towards the end he actaully played well and won teh last set i think. on the changeovers he would walk over to teh bench and drink some more beer, haha. so thanks nitefly. if only i lived closer....

geez, i hit for 10 hrs this weekend and the knees are feelin it.

worse still is that although i won my matches, i think the Babolat APDC is back in the picture. i keep taking it out at the end of matches and i can easily whip forehands that would never make it over the net with my midsize Yonex. I REALLY wish I was good enough to use the Yonex, but I think it is just too heavy for my wimpy arms.
(maybe i am just too tired from overplaying, but the lighter racquet sure seems to make the game much easier and I can put a ton of spin on the ball with the Duralast strings.)

i guess i am going back to the dark side.
VAMOS Babolat!
