Sempre,
Well, it's all about opinions... I share your opinion of Platini, and think Eric Cantona was an iconic, inspirational, semi-genius for Man U (and he really helped bolster the standing of the Prem. Lge in my view also.) For trophies won though for club (clubs) and country (such as Champions lge and World and I think Euro Cups), Zidane still gets my vote as 'king'. Anyway, both were utterly brilliant - and actually a bit alike IMO in spirit, having sublime touch, feel, skills, etc, an eye for goal, a love of the more physical side (and a tendency to enjoy a bit of aggro! To all squad members, Do post up your club crests, crowd scene pics, fave players, funny photos, etc - this thread will only be as good as your contributions make it... and talking of funny photos... here's one who many will not miss here in England (perceived as arrogant and provocotive), and many others will (charismatic and funny.) I subscribe to the latter view (and he was a big time winner as well.) Shall be v/interesting to see what happens at Inter... annyway... ![]() BTW, Good luck ppl this weekend if your team is playing. R. |

Finally the start of the season, and with it, the best hour on TV - the highlight show......
I wonder what will happen if Ramos has the same start as Jol did last year, which is quite possible considering the way Spurs played today. What is up with Liverpool's away Kit, they look like a bunch of janitors with that boring gray. Can't wait for the games tomorrow, common UNITED!!!!!

That was scary!
The pace and power is still there but the artistry, movement and creativity was mind blowing. Portsmouth didn't play that badly as such, when we let off a bit in the second half we saw Portsmouth create some chances and looked decent. The first half though, they just weren't given the opportunity to do anything.. We were unplayable. |

Oh please, Portsmouth played like crap, droopy Redknapp has made an error in selling a wicked midfielder like Muntari in favour of useless hatstand like Crouch to hoof long balls to (with which he doesn't know what to do).

You can only play as well as the opponent lets you. Newcastle played well today because Man Utd let them. We could of easily drawn aswell today if we hadn't of shown the desire, quick passing, great movement etc.. |

Poor result for United today, MOTD should be a good one besides that.

Nice game by City today, even if the second half wasn't one for great defence. Played their usual go for it all aggressive style after the first half and but was matched and bettered by AV. City's going to be pretty good once their injured players come back and Jo gets back from the Olympics.

Newcastle played well today because we were light up front with Tevez gone and the reduction in creativity/effectiveness of Scholes when John O'Gay was brought on and the Ginger Prince was forced to carry him while usually Carrick is there to free him up.

Loco,
Sorry to be a doofhead but what does this post ^ refer to? Plus also, do you want to be a member? Oh, and if so, one team will suffice! To all Prem league fans (and especially those whose side lost), It's probably worth remembering that this is only bloody week 1!! |
