Anyone Own Alpha AXIS Pro Stringing Machine?

I'm looking to buy the Alpha AXIS Pro stringing machine for $749 plus $53 s/h. Is this a good stringing machine and where can I get it cheaper than $749?

its a REVO 4k bascially with a stand and a table break. 749 isnt a bad price.

I'm very tempted to get this. I think the Axis pro is enough, unless I just want a table top.

I would think you would want a stand with that in the future anyway so this would probably be the best upgrade... (unless you are looking into electric machines)

Yea, and I don't think that a self centering mount or 3 tooth clamps are that important. At this point, I just want fixed clamps! Haha, gotta stay with my SP swing for a while longer. Nothing wrong with it.

Only problem is you can never find used Alpha machines. No one wants to get rid of them!

I bought one in February of this year and have strung about 50 racquets on it. I did have a problem with the clamps (actually not the clamps but the pivot pin that the clamp locking handle swivels on kept coming out) I emailed Alpha with my problem and within minutes got an email back from Mark saying to give them my address and they would ship me a new pair out and to return the faulty ones at my convenience. I had the new clamps in two or three days.
I think I would like the self centering mounting better but I don't know if it is worth the extra money.
All in all, I am very satisfied with the Axis Pro.

Where can you find this for $749? The lowest I have seen it is $799. Any ideas?

If you string 20 or more rackets a week, then a self centering mount and 3 tooth clamps will become a big deal. Much easier and faster to use. If it were me, and I had to have an Alpha, get the Apex II, much better for only $200 more.

Yea, but for the same price the Maestro is very tempting.

Right now, I don't expect to be stringing that many sticks, but I see your point. If I happen to do that many, it's better to be prepared with a better machine than to wish you had upgraded.

Yeah, the maestro and it's price point is make it a very tempting offering cause it offers just about everything an apex 2 has for the price of an axis pro...
