Default starting a usta junior team

Hey guys,

I live in a small town but we've got a great group of tennis players from two of the local high schools. We've got about 8 or 9 guys 8th - 12th grades and at least 15 girls who all play on the competitive USTA level. We all play and practice together on a regular basis, so I thought it would be fun for us to start our own junior team.

A few of our parents said they could help us start one, and the pro at the country club is in on it too, so can somebody give me some instruction on how to do this?

Thanks everybody.

First I would like to congratulate you on your ability to put this group together. This requires organizational skills, communication ability, personability, and management abilities. No matter how old you are these will carry you through life much longer than tennis ever will. Assuming you aren't the next Novak. Having stated that, contact your sectional USTA office with the same information. I am certain they will help with logistics and maybe even funds. Good luck, serious, I wish you the best.
