Default To end all arguments about Babolat sponsorship

Dear Seb

Thank you for your e-mail regarding sponsorship with Babolat.

Babolat in the UK sponsor a select number of players and coaches based on a strict criteria to help reinforce locally the efforts of our iconic tour players such as Nadal, Roddick & Gonzalez. The aim of our sponsorship programme is to form strong relationships with top players and coaches who have the ability to, and show a desire to help us promote and grow the Babolat brand.

Players:

An essential part of the criteria Babolat apply in considering a player's sponsorship application is ranking.

As a general rule, a junior player would need to be ranked within the top 10 nationally for their respective age group, and they should be competing regularly in the main draw / masters of national competitions including the National Junior Championships.

A senior player's application will be seriously considered if they hold a current ATP/WTA ranking of top 500.

If your current level reflects the above, please feel free to e-mail aidan@dinamica.co.uk stating your name, training base, coach, current ranking & rating and your contact details with reference: "Player Sponsorship Application". An application form will then be sent out for you to complete and return for consideration.

Coaches:

Babolat in the UK is always looking to improve its network of ambassadors.

Essentially, the following requirements are critical to contributing to a long term relationship with the brand:-

High standard playing ability
Excellent communication skills within coaching and promoting our brand
A strong image
The desire to work effectively with our local retailer as well as us
High levels of influence over and respect from pupils
A pro -active approach to communicating with us
Making a realistic commitment to assisting us reach our goals through measurable, appropriate and effective equipment sales
If you feel you are able to work with us on the above, please feel free to e-mail aidan@dinamica.co.uk stating your name, club, local tennis retailer (if known), qualification and contact details with reference: "Coach Sponsorship Application". An application form will then be sent out for you to complete and return and a member of the sponsorship team will contact you.

Kind regards
Babolat UK

This takes care of the UK- Babolat questions, thanks.

Since certain JUNIOR SECTIONs in the USTA are quite large, that is why they ask for "Top 10 in section" v.UK Top 10 National standing for a partial discount on a package of items.

I am hopful this is the end, and players start looking up all the older posts for reference. Maybe should have named post: Babolat Sponsorship- UK for retrieval purposes?

Actually, there's still a gap in the UK: "as a general rule". is what they wrote.

"General rules" are generally sometimes broken.

Interesting that you feel the UK has more top national juniors. If you look at the top 100 ITF players, the UK has 7 while the US has 12 players in the top 100.
