bc men's team?

i had heard some rumors about boston college's men's tennis team being cancelled in two years.....anyone know anything about this? some guys at ita regionals at yale said everyone there was talking about it.

One of the better players in my county is playing at BC, I hear they're pretty damn good. That'd be a shame. Soon enough the only college sports are going to be football and basketball.

It makes sense as they are in the cellar of a tough league. BC only cares about revenue sports. Cancel tennis to give another football scholarship.

I don't believe that Boston College gives scholarships in men's tennis. I guess they could still save money by not having the program at all (travel, equipment, coach's salaries, etc.).

well im a recruit considering going to BC, but i heard it from a couple of kids on other teams who said everyone was talking about it at ITA Regionals at Yale.

ask the coach if its true or not. rumors fly all the time. the coach will be straight up with you and is probably required to do so. i think its kinda dumb to try to verify this rumor on a message board.

talked to the coach today and he said he didnt know anything about the team being cancelled.....probably just a rumor started by some people but i didnt know if anyone else had heard anything
