Pictures of Stepanek and hid Bosworth Racket in Brisbane. Though I doubt this will generate as much interest as Hewitt's new racket, or Djokovic's new racket, I thought I should mention it anyway.

Looks nicer than his old red one, in terms of cosmetics. Never been a fan of Bosworth, though I never tried one, just doesn't look like a racket I'd use.

Also, I think this development leads to a bigger question. I am sure Stepanek and his management attempted to sign with one of the larger companies, and for whatever reason, terms could were not agreed upon and Stepanek was left without a racket sponsor. Hence, Stepanek is using a Bosworth. I have nothing against Bosworth, but we all know that 99% of top 100 players are sponsored by more well known companies. Stepanek then, is the only man in the top 100 without a major racket sponsor. Why? If Stepanek likes Bosworth, that's awesome, its quite good advertising for the company. |

This racquet looks huge. How big is the head? Must be 100inch+...

Indeed. Apart from the customizations which is what Bosworth does by default - the "tweak" stuff to your game. On a base level it looks the same, but play-wise chances are 99.9% that they are completely different.

This is unprecedented, a top 50 player using a custom racket from a small manufacturer like Vantage. |

they list no prices and not even a price range. I am guessing more than $300 for a racquet?

He was using a "Vokl".
Are you sure it wasn't a "Dnlp"?

radek.. what a strange dude he seems to be.. jsut kiddin, saw him once on Eurosport ( like Espn in Europe) being interviewed by the cutie former pro Barbara Schett( Barb, if you read this , call me soon..)
He was actually a funny laughing goof of a dude but not a nitwit. remembeknows he got like 6 questions on tennis history and did well with his answers .. he knew of past players and stuff .. others didnt do so well .. Nole was actually very bad at the same questions.. Bosworth .. the most unheralded name on a frame these days.. kind of an anti-statement maybe from ol Radek.. the king of ladies on tour. .. is it the lips? |
