the old one was actually sampras. but that's not why i like the old one. the new one looks sloppy. like some 8th grader did it in MS Paint for his art project. and it's corny.

the new one? the old one looks like crap and hardly has any color. The new is more visually striking IMO.

oh yeah, i was talking to my friend about the logo change and he says he doesn't like the new one either and it should've been an image of Federer's Forehand. I concur w/that, it would've been awesome

The old one was way better, can't beat the trophy position. They should've just updated it to make it look more modern, like they did before.
A comparison:

^^^yeah, i think so too, although a switch to a Federer-style forehand wouldn't have been too bad either

Old was better. If you take the racket off of the new one, no one would know it was even tennis : /.

Sorry to bump this, but I think the new logo was designed after Federer.

The arms are way too big on the new logo. The guy looks like a power lifter not a tennis player.

Is the "Feel it" actually part of the logo?

i like the new one better. the thing about the old one is that it's too dry, too technical, too matter-of-fact and basically forgettable, not to mention it has outdated style. the new one is more modern in its style and rather than just saying, "we're the ATP", it tries to connect to the consumer and appeal to their more emotional/loyal side.

a parallel will be advertising before and now. before advertisements were simply just stating the product worked, in the same way that the old logo was just saying, "we're the ATP, and we're concerned with tennis." these days marketing is oriented towards what the brand stands for and what it means to the consumers, just like how the new logo says, "ATP World Tour; we are a truly global sport and through us, you do not just watch tennis, but you feel it."

my problem with the new one is the whole "feel it" theme. it's not that bad actually, but sometimes strike me as cheesy. and of course, all these stars and planets and comets stuff is just silly, i seriously don't know what the ATP is trying to communicate with it.

Lol I checked the website, and "Feel it" isn't part of the logo.
