Default Melzer's Stick = 3 brands in a year?

I noticed Jurgen Melzer in less than a year switched from Kneissl, to Head and from Head to Dunlop. Before Head he was using the Red Star painted in solid black.

Any experts opinion in how heavy this stick become after all these paint jobs?

I noticed this also. Surprised frankly, less by the initial switch as he went to black in between but more by the subsequent Head to Dunlop move.

I spoke with melzers coach, he said it is a dilema, he has been testing many frames and does not like any of them, it is more in is head( no pun intended) then the frames.

so I understand from your words that the Red Star is still working fine for his game.......
do you know the specs on that Kneissl?
BTW, you advised me about strings for the red couple of months ago (I guess that was last year). Never found any that suits right (at least for me, made a mistake of selling the sticks), but last week I bought another three frames to give a chance to the red beauty one more time!

I think it's cause the stencil sits right in the sweet spot on most racquets (unlike Head), also most of these pros have a poly setup to which paint does not adhere to well.

he never played a Prestige Pro > it's Kneissl Red Star with a paint job

Melzer most certainly did at one time use the MG Prestige Pro.

You should notice that the string pattern in Melzer's racquet here is 16x19.

You should be able to see the C.A.P System grommets in these two photo above and below.

331 mass
33.15 balance
337 Swing weight
4D model, 27.5

He put around 25 grams of lead under bumper between 10-2

VS babolat, tell us what you did with your 300 tour, and how it played. sounds familiar

I know you like 32cm not sure you want to go 33cm

I always thought that the 300 tour was on the short side, might wanna do something about length even if .25

The strange thing is that you would think he would do his "experimenting" behind closed doors or under a black PJ or something rather than having the full "sponsored" PJ and stencil each time. I imagine many pros at some point or other may go through this process but it's rarely "seen".

at the pilot pen last year he had the blacked out redstar.

He likes playing with two different string patterns depending on surface.

You are really questioning a pro's choice of racket? They know what is best for their games and what they like in their racket.
