My advice to you would be to have your racquet prepared earlier, because it looked like you were falling off some of your shots that landed closer to the baseline.

And, I wold suggest thinking about your recovery more to have it come more naturally to you.

Your feet should be moving a lot in between shots, so you don't have any laziness to get to the next ball, and it lets you stay in balance so your opponent doesn't hit one and you immediately dive for it. So keeping your feet moving at all times really helps you stay in balance.

One more thing to add is to think about your knee bend more and getting down for your shots, and STEPPING INTO the ball. It looks like you don't back up for shots that land closer to the baseline resulting in you falling back a little bit and pushing off your back foot which is unbalanced.

All of these things take a lot of hard work to have them come naturally though.

I'm working with 3-4 coaches right now so I'd rather focus on what they tell me. Not really sure why I posted, I guess for people who saw my previous videos to see.

I don't particularly enjoy it, but I guess it forces you to move your feet a lot more than usual. I run around my backhand a lot these days, and when the wind is blowing to my left (I'm a righty), it forces me to move like 1.5 times as fast/early.

fo sho, i find that it really levels the players out, and you have to put alot more into as you said footwork and tactics.

I'm bored? I said already it might be interesting for people who've seen my vids from some time ago. Any tips are irrelevant since my coaches are amazing, and any ratings are irrelevant since I plan to improve two whole levels by September.

Since it is irrelevant, I skipped watching your video because I might become bored as well.

Let's hope you do improve.

lol. It might also help when I occasionally give tips for the people on the receiving end to know just who is giving that tip.

I found that taking lessons is prescious. Saves prescious time. I mean, on the internet, every single tip that you get might be exactly right. People might be giving you 100% correct information. But is that the most relevant tip for your game right now? It's like you're trying to grill a steak, and the guy on the internet is telling you how to get the temperature just right, when you in fact have not seasoned it properly.

Good luck. Moving up by 0.5 is hard enough (unless one is a 1.5-3.0, where jumps in rating are rather frequent), but to jump 2 levels...in 4 months time...That is crazy hard. From what I've heard, most people take at least 1-2 years to go from 3.5 to 4.0 or 4.0 to 4.5 (if ever being able to). I hope that works out for you. Remember to keep us updated! It'll be nice to see something that amazing occur.

Hm.. here is a question.. how does the relevance of conditioning change as NTRP level goes up?

This was after I found a groove, sort of. I was framing everything at first. And even here, I remember hitting a down the line forehand having forgotten about the wind, and it was blown wide.

Yeah that already started.. one told me to slow down my forehand and the other told me to speed it up.. it has advantages too because they do different drills with you and have different teaching styles.

haha. one coach teaches him how to serve, another one teaches him how to hit the ground strokes, another one teaches him how to volley, and another one teaches him how to hit the overheads
as long as he can afford them, why not ?
