However, if you want to find the top of the line Nike/Adidas stuff you have to go to an actual discount retailer like TJ Maxx/Ross/Marshalls. Obviously, you get the best deals at those places.

Right now, my local TJ Maxx has about 5 or 6 Nike Australian Open polos (Fed's) in charcoal color for $17. Retail on those is $65. That is an insane price difference! I love a deal! Woo!

Marshalls recently has some nice Nike Master polos, the one with the solid vertical stripe down the front, for $20. A nice pick up as well.

The high end Nike stuff comes and goes. It sometimes is gone for a while, but I do not mind spending 5 minutes and stopping by and seeing if they have any good deals.

You never know what you might find....
I had to read this again because i thought what i read was crazy. WOW im going out and looking tomorrow for sure.

I was at a Nike outlet today (Gilroy, CA) and they had many of Nadal's Australian Open shorts. Officially, they are the Spring Long Check Short. Priced at $35. TW has them for $45 right now. I am not sure if you consider them capris, but they are longer than Nike's normal shorts.

I did pick up a pair of Breathe Cage I's for about $45. I just started wearing a pair of Cage II's about 3 weeks ago, so they new ones will have to wait. However, the Cage I's seem to have a very comfortable fit. I am looking forward to them!

I am not sure about this, but I remember hearing somewhere that Nike will ship shoes from another outlet to you (you just pay for shipping, I assume). Will they do the same for clothes? Call the Gilroy store and find out.

Cheers!

How come the TJ Maxxs & Marshalls don't have tennis apparel or sneakers for that matter? We have dozens of them within a 50 mile radius & if you find 1 shirt in size XXXL, you've got yourself a find lol. And don't tell me Adidas running sneakers are tennis sneakers either like some of the store employees do. People all over the country post on here lauding their tennis finds at the above stores & I scratch my head. I guess in Northern NJ, there is no market at those stores for tennis apparel?

Yeah, I could see how they would want to shut down a thread like this, since it is all about cheaper deals at other places. However, once I start looking at clothes at places mentioned in above posts and have no luck finding them, I am honestly more likely to buy from TW because I want the goods!

Once the search is on, I do not give up.

Cheers!

Default Finding deals at Marshalls and TJ Maxx and an easy freebie

I used to work for Marshalls and TJ Maxx. The best names are often in locations far from retailers that sell the same items at full price. They also have better stuff in wealthier towns so when you are travelling stop if you are in a nice place and see a store.

BTW here is an option for a freebie. Throw your name into the hat for Novak's adidas Wimbledon top and shorts.
