Default Is zimonjic using a radical with no grommets?

I'm watching the doubles finals right now and it looks like hes using a MG radical with no grommets. Anybody know whats going on? Just curious

Pro Tour 630 with traditional grommets and the bumper guard omitted. The grommet strip goes all the way around the racquet and you don't have to put the bumper guard on if you choose not to.

Strange. Looks interesting though. I wonder if he puts the bumpers back on for hard courts so he doesn't destroy all his rackets.

I doubt as that would alter the racket specs...
As for "destroying the rackets" -- I am sure he has enough of them available...

he is using grommets alright... what he is not using is bumper!

makes sense for a doubles player...

becomes more head light...
