I believe that the 6004 has all metal clamps and different clamp bases(nice what they call switch action clamps). Maybe GammaTech will step in here?

The 6004 is the newer version of the 6002.

the 6004 has the switch action base clamps, metal string clamps and a turntable with in-laid machined glide bars for the lever base clamps.

the 6002 should have the wing knob base clamps, fiberglass (frp) string clamps and a one piece turntable unless somebody bought an upgrade along the line.

all the other parts are the same.

I had a 6002 before my 6004. For some reason, the turntable on the 6002 was not nearly as stable as the 6004. I think the 6004 is a great improvement over the 6002.

jatennis,

How do you like your 6004? I just purchased one that will arrive next week. I'm getting back into stringing my own racquets after stringing professionally in my late teens many years ago.
