Silent Partner DG

I would like to move up to an electronic constant pull machine and ran across this machine on the web. Has anyone used it or had any experience with Silent Partner equipment? For $1000, it seems to less expensive than similar models from other manufacturers. I am trying to stay around this price point as I do not string enough racquets to justify a much more expensive machine. Thanks...SJH

I'm pretty sure David Pavlich had one of these and was happy with it. You might try posting this over on the GSS board too.

I think the DG looks like a nice machine, only problem is the rotational puller ala "e.stringer." Other than that, looks like a very good buy and gets you 360 degree rotation and a superior racket support system over something similarly priced like a Wise head combination, and Wise combination like Gamma Prog ST II or Alpha Revo would also cost more.

I think it's the absolute cheapest machine that's been verified to be constant pull (verified by the USRSA).

I just got one recently, and it does everthing well. The only downsides are as wonder_wall mentioned, the rotational head requires a bit of extra string.

The only other minor gripes are that the reel holder is a bit small and there isn't a footswitch(not a big deal since the pull button is right there when you secure the string)

Very interesting, I'm sure lots of people out here would like to hear more about that machine from a real user though (in addition to reading the USRSA review).

Here's a question for you that I'd like to know: How easy is that machine to "put away." This is a big strength of my current machine, I can break it down (into the parts I put away) in less than a minute and total time to break it down and return it to my closets is less than 3 minutes (slight groans included). This is time separating weight arm, weight, turntable and base and putting them away. Also, on my machine no tools are required for this.

Have any idea on the DG? Do you operate if from a table-top or on the stand?

I have it on the stand and don't really put it away.(Just cover it up) It is detachable from the stand using 4 bolts and it already has rubber feet for use as a table top. It's fairly heavy so I wouldn't want to drag it around much.(Maybe if it was on a cart with wheels, that would help)
