Default Why am I being charged twice?

I made an order last night and the total was like 19 dollars. then i called at nine am this morning and changed it before you shipped it. i changed one set of fxp for one set of gamma zo sweet. so instead of 19 dollars it became like 22 or 23 dollars. so i went on online banking and i am being charged 19 dollars and then another 22 or 23...

Yea, you will be fine. One of the charges will drop off your account.

Kash,
I believe the reason you see two transactions is just how the banking system works. Your initial transaction shows "pending" with the new transaction. TW will request funds from the new transaction and "drop" the other one.

my problem is when it is pending, it still gets taken out of my acount but gets finalized later. so in this case, an overdraft was caused. hopefully they will give me the overdraft fee back when i call them up

... why would an extra 20 bucks cause you to overdraft? living on the financial edge?

most banks though if you call them up and yell like an idiot will forgive some overdraft fees if you've been a good customer in the past.

well I put most of my money in my savings. Like i have been working this summer to save up for a car before school starts so i put like 90% of what i make by working in savings and the rest of my money in checkings. I had a balance of 30 dollars and thats why i overdrafted so they charged me for having to transfer from savings to checkings...

Perhaps you should change your user name?

Just kidding, banks make most of their money on charges and fees from those who can least afford it and it's pathetic and ridiculas.

Thats all fine and dandy, and for a young guy to be concerned about saving, thats a good thing. Thing is most banks require a minimum balance so keeping a super low balance will hurt you in maintenance fees. In fact bc you kept a low balance, you incurred a 30 buck fee, which is way more than the meager interest you're earning holding your money in your savings. In addition, you should always have a reasonable amount in checking, to cover for things that pop up like new tires, hot girl asks you out on a date, TW has an insane sale for k90s only 20 bucks while supplies last, etc...

lol very nice, dang man u only got a balance of $30, from experience, always try to keep a minimum of $100 balance in a checking account, bc if u only got $30, ur better off with just the cash than having a bank account
