Ah yes! Since you've asked.

Federer's new frame has a circular, 90 sq. in head.
It's made be Wilson.

But wait, wasn't there some noise from an island of insanity saying that Federer could no longer compete with such an outdated "bat" in the "modern" game and that he would be changing to a larger frame? I think the timeline for the change was the 2009 Australian Open. Oooops.

Federer's "new" frame, if any, will be the same frame with new paint. There may be a tweak or two, but everything else will remain the same. Why change a good thing?

True, but a new paintjob will be released, and therefore, a new set of Wilson frames to the public.

Beginning of 2010, a new Six-One, Tour, Surge etc. series will be released. The Blades, Pros, etc. will follow in a year.

Sounds like marketing hype to me.

Good way to get all the k90-users to buy new sticks. (Watch the Classifieds section.)

I caught a glimpse of Fed's racquet against Tsonga today...it had a glossy finish and a more elongated head...(the head shape might look different because the W stencil looked different too).

pity he wasn't worth watching at the end of the final set though... I was looking at his racquet too, looked either elongated - or thinner than regular consumer one, no?

so with the blades, they'll keep a similar schedule to the k factor releases?
