I actually dont need the hitting lesson right now the more I think about it but it is always good to know the options in case I need someone at some point! I still have some options and havent hit with bad call yet either. I can only hit an hour or so right now due to injury. But you know how it can get - you can have a lot of hits and then all of the sudden everyone is injured, moves away or whatever. It is better to find a freelance type or broke student type because they usually work at a cheaper rate.

I was a solid Junior player and I want to get that back.

The first 3 months were brutal when it came to fitness, but I had been running and working out for years and the BF% was pretty low..so I just had to get my body used to the beating. I would come home many nights and just shower, wake up and hobble to my office..lol. It still hurts, but have survived the summer and did marathon 3-4 hour sessions of just rallying to really push myself. I like rallying for getting back in shape because matches do not tire me out as much as extended rallying.

Spinz..Carlos is $40 an hour at OTC. He is cool as hell. You should check into it.
Thx for info. What is his playing background?

I don't know but he does hitting sessions for 40 bucks an hour just like you are looking into. I have watched one before and he hits real clean and will move you all around the court.

Man we got some serious rain today. It seemed to move in from the east coast and now it appears to be heading back towards the east coast. Let's hope Ericka stays away next week.

That's the problem. If I don't play in the evening, those IPAs start taunting me daring me to drink them.

Good to know. I probably sound cheap but $40 seems high to me for a hit but I suppose it is more since he works at a facility. I am spoiled from when I used to pay $20 to someone who was playing college at the time and was glad to have the cash in hand.

No it's a lot of money when you think about just getting hits. I would pay it to have a guy examine my serve and give me advice for 1 session. I took lessons as a kid for years at sanlando and really learned more just playing 6 hours a day and learning by repitition.

Just dropped my Agassi Donnay off to Frank. His reaction was great..he loved it. He said that Agassi still used a PJ version of it even when he retired and was with Head.

Lorenzo Beltrame is very good if you want some technical advice but his rates are high. It could be worth it though if you just want one session - am sure he could video it and offer lots of good info.

cheaper to rent a ball machine. the pros i've talked to recently about return of serve, etc give advice freely. unless one really has some issues usually a tip or 2 is sufficient.

I just looked up Lorenzo and that sounds pretty awesome. A guy like that would probably be incredible to learn a few tips from.

Blue skies outside currently. Maybe I should knock off work now! Big line of storms on the west coast marching this way while some storms on the east coast seem to be heading for a collision with those right over us later.

I have not taken a lesson since high school. My forehand has been hot and cold lately, but I think that has more to do with my elbow than anything. On the off days, I swear I'm going to take a lesson with Frankie. Then the next time out I'm blasting winners with it and that idea goes away.

ssgator80 took me out tonight 3 and 5. I was making way too many UEs and he was hitting winners and making almost no errors at the start. The cold forehand decided to show up tonight with frames a plenty! He gifted me a game at 5-4 in the 2nd, but immediately broke back and held to take the set. It was a fun 2 sets, but now I want revenge! Good playing ssgator80.
