I actually think all four are possible. It has been a strange US Open after all.....

It may have been wise to post this in Match Results, instead

You know what's going to happen as soon as the results come in

Im not that impressed with how Djoker is playing. To use the slang vernacular, he could get got by Verdasco.

I picked Verdasco as well. He's playing very well. Djokovic has been shaky this year. Cilic could pull an upset but I think it unlikely. Nadal and Federer should cruise.

I also think it would have to be Verdasco. In fact, I know he is ranked lower but I really don't see him as a underdog.

2 Gonzalez beats Nadal
3 Cilic beats Del Potro
4 Soderling beats Federer

Hmm, I'm not gonna guess, because last time I said this, Murray was my least likely and he lost to Cilic. I think based on history Soderling-Fed is least likely but even that one is possible.

Gonzalez over Nadal? I see that as the least possible upset. The way Nadal played last night, there is no one who can beat him in their current form, including Federer, who has not showed that high of a level so far.

Again, Gonzalez over Nadal is more likely than Verdasco over Djokovic? How so?

You are drastically overrating Nadal. Last night wasnt amazing. He struggled to beat Monfils and there are MANY guys stronger than Monfils on a fast hard court including Gonzalez. I am not saying Gonzalez will beat Nadal but saying a hard fought 4 set win over Monfils of all people now makes him the head and shoulders top of the tournament is completely laughable.

He struggled? I didn't see that at all. What was so hard fought about it? Nadal always fights hard, if that's what you're referring to. That's his style of play. Monfils was lucky to win the first set but Nadal ground him into dust the rest of the match. He was doing everything well last night.

Monfils is still a high quality hard court player. Saying Gonzalez is better on hard is debatable as well. Monfils has a 2-0 record over Gonzo, both matches being on hard courts.

Gonzo has the edge in fitness and experience however. I'll give him that. Either way I don't think he wants to grind with Nadal.

He is a lot more aggressive than Monfils though. If he tries to just let his forehand do the work he has a much better shot than Monfils who foolish tried to go toe-to-toe at the baseline with the #2 player in the world.
