I have 3 of the same sticks and do the same thing, except I don't have any multis right now, so I use more synguts.
Hey power play, do you want to trade or maybe can I buy a set or 2 of the maxim touch from you?
You email me thru here.
Thanks in advance.

ALSO, does anyone play on Wednesday or Thursday? Anytime on those days? I do have off next week and would love to come and experience the tennis in otown.
Email me thru here or just leave a message here for me.
Thanks.

I don't really belong in this thread, but I just wanted to say how beautiful your city is. I had the good fortune to stay in Orlando for a couple of weeks last August and there's nowhere I'd rather be!

It suited me just fine, but playing tennis in it is probably a different matter though!

It's doable if you can play early in the morning or later in the evening. You will sweat like crazy no matter what time of day you play though!

I may be stuck with using non-polys for a while. If anybody wants to try out Big Ace 16, just meet me at OTC sometime and get your free sample.

Ryangoring, just google tennis depot. they are in FL and can get you Maxim Touch in 2 days.

I love the feel of the Maxim Touch on the Donnay OS. It's so comfortable it's ridiculous. I don't get that poly drop I'm used to, so shots can sail long, and I doubt this string lasts that long, but still..it's great. I am going to try the Ashaway Dynamic and see how that feels.

It sucks not being able to use full poly all the time, but I will probably continue to use it in my apdcs. Like I said before, I like having an alternate stick anyway.

Got chomped by the Gator again last night. This time we had to play on my neighborhood hard courts since OTC got flooded out. I'm just so happy to be playing with very little pain. It only hurts on mishits now which I unfortunately do too often.

met up with Power Player and practiced groundstrokes and serves. think Power Player is on his way to getting a big serve.

whilst demonstrating service variety, i hit a kick serve that hit the side line and bounced over the fence...well not really the fence. anyway it even surprised me.

SSgator and I are both on the short side, but we both can hit a decent kick serve.

Bad Call, the service tips were really appreciated. I have been working on them a lot. It's the toughest stroke to get back, but everything you said was correct and feels natural when i do it.

I went and had that apdc customized so I knew the balance and weight were done right. For $15, I now have a much better apdc that will let me string at a lower tension. The regulars at azalea I hit with said that my shots have more weight to them. I am getting a lot of depth and control now with the racquet heavier. It feels better on my arm too so far.

Mikeler, you could try playing with a heavier racquet if your arm is still giving you issues. I think the secret to full poly and a healthy arm is keeping the tension at around 55#s or less and having a high swingweight. I will probably try a stick at 54#s and if that is controllable, maybe drop to 52#.

I also like customizing the racquet because I know I can buy more sticks now and get them all exactly the same, which is great.

SSgator and I were talking about racket weight. He uses a much heavier one than me. I think it might help reduce my mishits since I won't be able to whip the racket as much. So I'm definitely thinking about it. In the meantime, I'm using synthetic gut with string savers.

Yeah the super light racquet kills your strokes I think. At least it hurt mine. I could take the ball off the rise and just flick my wrist and get it back, but it's a lazy shot with no pace. Now I can hit to the opposite corner on the run with pace but it is a more technically sound shot and not a health risk..lol..

Are the sticks you use head light?

Photoshop,

I live about 2 miles south of Waterford Lakes Town Center. I am definitely looking for a hitting partner. Shoot me an e mail.

Yeah. 5 or 6 points. That's why I just paid John at Etennis to do it. I wanted to do it right and not affect the balance. He stores all the stats in the computer.

There is some other guy who strings up there who had no clue..lol. I told him I wanted the apdc SW at 345 and the static at around 12, and he was like..."you can't buy one of these racquets and expect it to feel like a Sampras one". I just looked at him cockeyed.

Do you use a 1 handed backhand or two? The hardest part with going up in stick weight for me is getting around on my 1 hander. I'm going to the local big box store at lunch to take some cuts with the heavier rackets just to see what they feel like.

possibly the same guy who tried to steer me towards a thick tweener without knowing anything about my game. other than that they seem to be decent.
