Nike Breathe Free's

I have a pair of Breathe Free 2's with the six month durability guarantee and I was wondering how picky Nike was about replacing them, time isn't really the issue I just think it's time for some new kicks. Also, what would you recommend to replace them over the period of time I'm waiting on Nike to send me a pair of whatever they send me? I would appreciate your opinion on the matter, thanks
