Very doubtful Fed will even hit with the BLX once to try it out.

He will be using the same stick as ever with the new graphic, that is all.

That would be interesting if they did this. I wonder if they could get away with it as long as they don't make any actual claims about having something new save for just calling something by a different name (after all "K" Factor is a made up name).

Why isn't it possible for Federer to actually switch to the new racquet? Maybe he likes the feel of the BLX better than the K90? It's supposed to damp out the bad vibration frequencies to give the frame a better feel. He did switch from the PS 6.0 85 to the PS Tour 90 and then to the K90 before, so why not again?

When is the question. How much time can he put in after London to tune himself to the racquet? Has he hit with it already? Is he using it already under the K90 PJ. Can there be a PJ of a PJ?

I can't someone with about 11,000 posts would ask this question.

He doesn't use the K90. Everything he pretty much uses is a paint job. He might hit with it once for kicks and giggles, but he will not switch.

I'm sure he's hit with it already. The top pros get to hit with new racquets during their development stage and this racquet is already being mass produced for retail, so Federer probably hit with this new racquet over a year ago. Who knows? He may have already switched to it. Maybe that's why he lost to Del Potro at the US Open after beating him 6 times in a row? LOL

I can't believe Wilson would now countenance Fed wielding a frame whose cosmetics (or more accurately, the letters 'BLX') would set him up for nothing less than total ridicule.

Again I'm just totally scratching my head at the inept and woeful decision-making progress that has resulted in this joke of a name.

Wilson has made a monumental blunder. Giving Fed a 'BLX paintjob' (wow, that really sounds so ridiculous!), would surely just make the whole situation even worse?

BLX means nothing in America.

Get over it.

Who cares.

They will sell millions of these.

I'm sure you whined about the K90 hideous paint job too.

Never Mind the BLX, you say!

America is not the only country that exits by the way!

Oh, and the paint job is truly truly awful!

Asolutely Ross!

The paint job and name are ridiculous!

And in the "English" speaking world the name will be ruthlessly ridiculed, because it is very very funny that Federer is using a bollocks racquet

I don't think so. The U.S. is the biggest English speaking country (no, India doesn't count as they have local languages as their main language) and the U.S. is also the biggest tennis market, and nobody in the U.S. cares that it's called "BLX". Apparently, the UK is just not big enough of a tennis market for Wilson to worry about using that name. I mean how many people in the UK play tennis on a daily basis year-round anyway? Probably a tiny percentage compared to the U.S.

Lots of people in the U.S., continental Europe, South America, and Asia will be buying this BLX racquet. That's more than enough for Wilson to make a huge profit off of the BLX line.

Oh Jimbo.

Wilson doesn't care what the UK or Pakistan thinks.

The only thing hideous is that Brown N' Blue Blade.

Horrid.

Disgusting.

Repulsive.

Roger's new PJ will sell millions.

The UK market is tiny compared to US, I agree.

Calling it BLX is still ridiculous though, and the paint job is still awful!

Default The Great 'BLX' debate cont...

jimbo,

'Never mind the BLX'!... love it mate!

Joel,

Er,

doesn't

Australia

and

New

Zealand

also

use

the

word

'bollocks'?

If

so

this

would

definitely

raise

the

numbers

somewhat.

Get

over

it.

Okaaay... granted... the US, Europe, etc is by far the bigger market!

For those Americans/others unfamiliar with 'bollocks', BLX, whatever. How about this:

"It's a supreme racket! - the Wilson KKK!"...

"Fancy stepping out with the new Wilson CRUD?!"...

"Our testers totally raved about the amazing Wilson AHOLE!"...

"Del Potro enjoys the smooth yet firm new Wilson SHT!"...

"There's only one frame for Roger Federer! - the new Wilson GAY!"

"You'll never have a better time than when you've a Wilson TIT in your hands!"

Etc...

To test your little theory that BLX is on par with KKK I Googled BLX and saw no evidence of it being such a morally reprehensible letter combo. None. At all.

You fail.

Wait, how about adding some southern American twang:

Ya'll fail.

Next.

Don't think he will risk it at the USO.

Now Basel, I can think of him experimenting with the BLX.

Im pretty sure his contract includes that he must play with the new Wilson stuff, well most likely with a paint job of course.

Dont think we will see the new paint job before the official release, alas the Australian Open though.

Don't forget that Federer started to use the K90 over 3 years before it was finally released to the public.
