"i already spoke up. I have to admit that i made some mistake since I was just cleaning out of closet for college. I wasn't even trying to make profit out of the bag. I just thought that someone else may need this for tournament other than me ( quit tennis). It seems he did lie to you about when he shipped since the acceptance was Friday, 10/30 so the "did you receive the rackets yet" nonsense on 10/28 was a bunch of BS.

Hopefully, he shipped what you agreed to purchase. Did he send you an actual tracking number or just a link to simpletracking?

The simpletracking thing doesn't specify a number. The tracking info (Your item was accepted at 1:41 pm on October 30, 2009 in EDISON, NJ 08899) reads like it is from USPS.

I don't think it is necessary to post pictures yet. To be fair, we're not entirely sure Chidi is a scammer. That is the reason I did not post his personal info before. I posted his real name hoping he would see that it was in his best interest to fulfill the contract before he got the full TW Scammer Public Humiliation Treatment. Seems like that was enough to do the trick and eggouncle will get this stuff. If it turns out the egoouncle doesn't get his stuff, then we will give tennisplaya302 the full treatment. ;o)

Chidi lied about the ship date (which is bad enough) but if eggouncle gets what he paid for, then Chidi isn't a scammer only unreliable. I'd never deal with him because he lied about shipping and jerked his buyer around big time by ignoring his emails. Not acceptable behavior but he is 18 and without any references so sort of expected. Let's hope he learned his lesson.

A scammer is someone who takes someone else's money, or rackets, and never compensates them as agreed. If eggouncle get his rackets then Chidi has fulfilled the contract albeit a week, or more, late and only after putting his buyer though a ridiculous amount of unnecessary grief. That doesn't make him a scammer, just irresponsible.

Great find FF. Not that the seller deserves to lose his money, but the process is just too ironic. Ha ha. How many times do people send money to someone w/no refrences and get the shaft? I am still amazed at the stupidity. But funny how things work out.

Before you get all wee-weed up, let's see if eggouncle received what he paid for. Thus far, we haven't even determined if he has been scammed.

No indication it is the infamous Matt Ellis, quite the contrary.

It seems the 18 year old yute involved, one Chidi Gabriel aka tennisplaya302, was a bit tardy in his shipping and instead of manning up and telling the buyer he hadn't shipped yet, lied about when he shipped. A few days later he did ship and evidently eggouncle has a package waiting for him when he gets home.

I'm glad everyone here jumps all over scammers, but let's all relax until eggouncle lets us know what the deal is. At this point, there may no longer be a problem.

I was going by all the other TennisPlayaXXX members who have been banned. Assuming they were all Matt Ellis since he had a very similar name in the recent past... which was subsequently banned...

Yeah, I know what 'playa' means, in regard to racquet sports

However, I don't believe in coincidences. If you run a search for all the TT names with 'playa' in them... at least half have been banned and many have zero posts... telling me that someone set them up with the intention of using them in the future when their current name/ID was discovered and subsequently banned.

The 'playa' moniker seems to be a con artist magnet.

Hey guys. I got the racquets. However I don't think they're 9/10... They're more like 7 to 7.5. Too many cosmetic damages. And all of them came with broken strings. Um one of the racquet has a buttcap thats completely fallen off. Like when i hold the racquet, the buttcap would fall off if the grip was not there to hold it together. I think I'll go with a refund?
