It looks like Roddick wears 1/2 larger. there are tons of space in the toe area. and he has the laces/velcro pretty tight.
and i thought i was the only one who likes to wear 1/2 size larger. ![]() Last edited by rogernext : 10-26-2009 at 01:10 PM. |

I would be that his are custom made to fit his feet. Not necisarly a size at all, just what suits his foot type. Plus, he wears those massive ankle braces, so if they are sized, then he probably needs more room to fit those things.
ps. you're not alone. I've always worn 1/2 size bigger. makes for no broken toe nails and helps keep you from having the nasty, deformed feet tennis players are known for.

Also wear 1/2 large. I just like having a nice roomy fit. It does kind of drag you down though so I buy shoes in my true size for competitive play.
Also, it seems Roddick also likes to wear a size too large for shirts as well |

I always thought he tied his shoes to tight. I also wear 1/2 size up. I don't like my little to to be jammed. I want those shoes.

^^I would love those too.All white, simple, not to flashy.
My next pair of pp2's I'll for sure be going up a half size.My big toe used to get rammed into the inner side of the toebox.strange fit in the PP2's.The colors for 2010 are real sharp there are some pics up some where of A-rod rockin them.I'm looking forward to the Platinum, over the black and gold.I'm hoping the 1/2 size up fixes the toe jam.Or Babo changed the toe box a little. |

he wears a size 12 and as far as his ankle braces go they are not bulky at all and a size up for your shoe is not needed

I wear a 12 too. as for the ankle braces, I think they are bulky. I have one for my left ankle and they take up some room in my shoes.

ASO, and yeah they are great. I don't use them as much as I tend to get hurt outside of the courts for some reason.

^Propulses are great shoes, looking forward to 2010 colour ways. Definitely need a half-size bigger if you wear orthotics.
Good stuff! |

I heard the new propulse will be a wider cut (again), so maybe NOT necessary to go up a half-size?

Who knows what his real reasons are as long as it works for him.
I personally would wear a half size larger if I wore bulky ankle braces like him. I sometimes wear a smaller brace on my left ankle. It works because my left foot is a half size smaller than my right. |
