Default ITA National Indoors: Men's Selections

The list of selections is out. A certain player who is a prominent avatar on these boards did not make it, so I guess we won't have to hear predictions that he will win it all.

I notice only one school has 3 singles players.

Cool

The curse of the avatar is a very real thing. Perhaps Alex needs to get a voodoo doll of a certain "physician" and stick pins in it until he relents and lets Alex's spirit free.

This was 'the good doctor's' plan all along. This is why he has everything wrong about Standford, he never went there, he secretly hates it. He's a student in Georgia, a friend of Isner's, and Matt Bruch stole his lunch money years ago. His plan all along has been to sabotage Stanford and make sure they never win another title. His nefarious scheme has worked perfectly.

Seeds out now too. USC, not UVa, is only team with 2 seeds. Doubles draw might be more loaded than singles.
Hope Powers can put a nice little run together. I'm going to make my standard prediction for every big tournament this year: Smith and Farah both make the semis, one wins the title.

Also, based on recent results, its possible that Klahn is "Standford"'s 1 right now anyway.

Sanam Singh just beat the #156 player in the world at a Challenger event in Charlottesville, indoors. As long as he does not wear himself out at the Challenger, he will be a threat to win the ITA Indoors.

The UVa team looks pretty stacked. Dominic Inglot made 2nd rd also beating Bozoljac.

I think it shows how high the level of play is at DI, even if it's all foreigners making waves right now.

Lukacs, from Baylor, took Somdev to 3 sets also.

Just heard rumor that Sanam Singh will rest after the Challenger and will not go to the ITA Indoors.

Sanam Singh did indeed stay home to keep playing (and winning) in an ATP Challenger event.

USC and Virginia were each 2-0 in singles to grab two of the spots in the round of 16. Twelve other schools have one player each. Very tough matches in every round, as you would expect.

Anyone know what happened to Singh in the final of this tourney: http://tennislink.usta.com/tournamen...s.aspx?T=84890

It says injury but he looked fine the day before playing doubles.

^^
Because he was going to get an at large bid regardless of the outcome of the final match so he let his teammate jenkins who didnt have an at large bid, win the tournament so he would get into the tournament

Correction: Wisconsin also had two players in the round of 16, and if Bauman beats Klahn, they will be the only school with 2 in the quarterfinals.

JP Smith doing well so far. I predict a Smith vs Clayton final in NCAA next year. I say, Clayton in close 3 sets.
