As for co-poly, you'd be better off not learning on that stuff. Polyester, whether a copoly or not, is a major pain to string. You may end up liking co-poly's, but I would recommend that you purchase a cheap reel of synthetic gut- something like Gosen OG Micro, Forten Sweet, etc. These strings are a lot easier to weave, and have a much smaller learning curve. Once you get comfortable stringing these, then you can start stringing polyester. Keep in mind that all strings are strung the same way, but polyester will present difficulties for a completely new stringer.
Gosen cost almost twice as much in Europe than here. Gosen is made in Japan and is closer to the US than Europe. It might be cheaper to buy a local or European brand, Nylon or Syn gut. There are a lot of other brands, in europe, that we in the US don't see, except maybe on Fleabay.

Thank you for the advice. I have searched and the cheapest 200m reel synt. gut I find in my usual webstores are Head Master (white) and Wilson ultra (natural color). I´ll get one of those, just not sure which yet.

It can get the job done much faster but no way it is precise as a dropweight machine. Plus it is important to understand that I´m not looking for speed or comfort. I will string at home only for myself and I can take 3 hours to make a racket that I don´t mind... if I could do it in 30 minutes I would probably watch some TV or surf the net with the remaining time
I prefer a proper job than a fast job. Now if I was to become a pro and string for money... since time is money...that would be a diferent question. But even then, if I wanted to get serious about it, there is no gain without pain... so I believe I would have to invest in some serious electric machine. Fortunetly for my wallet this will be just a "relaxing" hobby (I believe at frst it will be quite stressfull... but also exciting!).

Cumps

PS: Sorry on the English speaking fellows, it's just hard to find a fellow portuguese around here :P
