Ever since i found this forum i've been trying all sorts of frames, which in all honesty hasn't been good for my game.I''v got to two now that i do like but they seem poles apart in some respects.I have played some great tennis and won some club tournies using the aerogel 100, but i have found it lacking a bit of "punch" on some shots.Recently on the bay over here someone was selling a "TW" pro one o/s. Since i wanted to try one i bought it, i really like the general feel of the frame, i know its weight is a bit more than the 100 but its not just that, it just feels more solid.Even with a 100 weighted to the pro one's weight / balance its different.
Now the conclusion i am being drawn to is that the AG100 is a newer styl for want of a better term "hollow~" frame where the other isn't. Oh and just for info purposes, I have a problem using O/S frames, its psychological I know it but when i look at the frame in my hands it looks huge...maybe i just need to get over that......... Why did i become a racquetaholoc?!?!? |

I think he means the Pro One OS. If that is the case, I had one. It is a great racquet. Here is why..it will help you pick your final stick and get you out of demo hell.
If you can constantly hit the ball deep and with pace, then you have no need for a higher swing weight. The OS is heavier, but the SW is low. I realized I like the opposite..a lighter stick with a heavier swingweight. How accurate are you with the OS? If you are very accurate, then you can drop down to a 95 to 100 and be even better. The Donnay OS is extremely accurate for a racquet with that headsize. If you are not very accurate, then you need to try something less demanding and develop your strokes more. You will probably want to stay at a 98 or larger in that case. So pay real close attention to how the stick feels..like if someone hits you a corner ball to your backhand, can you get behind it and send something back with good pace? If so, you probably have a good swingweight and can plug the specs into the racquet finder here and get a midplus that matches the Donnay OS.
