This was a survey that I originally planned on posting solely on a specific forum about immigration, but since the community there is about as active as Nalbandian with a bowl of cookies in his lap, I wasn't really getting many posts. Don't worry about if you don't know a whole lot about the issue, just fill it out as best as possible. If you aren't a U.S. resident, but would still like to fill it out, that is fine, but your nationality before hand.
1. Are you a for or against illegal immigration? 2. Are you able to list some of the benefits AND detriments associated with illegal immigration? 3. If 'yes' to question 2, please list some. 4. Do you believe that a reform of the U.S.A.'s immigration policies is needed? 5. Using one of the following words to describe it (low/medium/high,) how important of an issue do you believe illegal immigration is relative to other problems? If you are at all curious, this survey is for a research paper I'm writing. |

I find it hard to believe that anyone would accept a survey that was just posted on the internet for anyone to respond to.
And how would you interpret the results you get? |

In addition to what GG said (above), this is a very badly conceived series of questions.
If I was grading you and saw question #1, I would not consider any grade higher than a "D". Suggest you do some further research- ask more specific questions with (for example) a sliding scale 1-6. Something like--Should undocumented workers be allowed to work seasonally, at fieldwork if farmers cannot find sufficent documented workers? Absolutely not 1....2....3....5....6 Definately yes Should a child born to a couple illegally in the US be granted the rights of US citizenship?----- And so on. Try to think of as wide a range of questions as you possibly can that cover the topic as completely as possible. You will, in a sense, be graded on the quality of your questions and observations. Then ask questions about the person answering the question, as well (yearly income, education level, party affiliation, parent's education, size of family unit...), so you have information to discuss and compare. Really, you just need to do more work and put more thought and effort into the paper. |
