Try something a little more abstract and refined, some Ligeti would be good, how about Atmospheres, Lontano, Melodien and Requiem (Ligeti is probably the 'best' composer of the second half of the 20th century, makes an orchestra sound like something else entirely, in a good way, some of his music was used in 2001 for the scary bits with the lights and monolith so some might know it already, if there was any justice in the world he would be as famous as Mozart and Beethoven.)
Driving to those pieces is quite surreal, suddenly everything around you becomes meaningful or full of purpose, try it. |
