Kevlar hybrid - bar none. Anything else is a distant second.

So are you saying anything used as a cross with Kevlar mains?

I have never used poly stings as a cross with Kevlar only syn gut and multi. So I am not sure if poly will work or not. Poly is much stiffer than syn guts and multis.

I've found syn guts to work the best. For me, the tension drop from polys made the setup more difficult to control than a syn gut that holds tension good. I guess a poly that holds tension good would work too...that is probably the most important property of the cross string in a kevlar hybrid.
