Default Any value for a broken SV Pro Staff?

I have found one of my old ProStaff 85's. Unfortunately, it is cracked. I don't really know if it has any value in this state. It can not be played with and would certainly collapse if I tried to restring it.

Think anyone on the 'bay would want it as a collector's piece in its condition? Just curious. Wanted to know before I cut out strings and salvaged the grommetts.

it couldn't be worth much, maybe 20-30 at best. you could try playing with it to see if the crack affects playability. sometimes it doesn't

In addition to the grommets, save the buttcap.

its not just for sentimental reasons... if i were dishonest...

i would stick a St vincent buttcap on a chicago and sell it for twice as much

very difficult to tell the difference....

buyer beware,,. i have been burned.

I'd like a SV buttcap, but only to replace the one on one of my SVs where all the color has worn off.

Break out the duct tape and then sell it for auction good as new.

Anyone here have a need/want for it to dissect it? I am sure there is more than enough information on the SV's... But has anyone ever cut one up? Curious.

Here's a link to a thread where a St. Vincent has been cut up: http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showt...240551&page=13
