Default Barricades V Vs CB 1.3

Hello,

I had in the past problems with my right foot, 5 injuries (not much serious) that all together have kind of fragilised my foot. This was due to poor quality shoe choice (sometimes the cheaper gets very expensive) and no more. Even if Iīm not that "rich" if there is something I wonīt back off with money is with my tennis shoe choice!
So after much reading I had the impression that I would apreciate very much the CB 1.3
I had the opportunity to try in my country (those shoes are hard to find) the CB1.3 but also the barricades V.
From my reading I believed that I would find the CB1.3 much comfortable compared to the ballistics. I was impressed to see that the Adidas felt very comfortable to me and the CB1.3 was what I was expecting from my reading around here. Sure, for me the CB1.3 seems better in my foot aesthetically but that is not why I choose a tennis model. So I tried one and the other over and over again and didnīt bring any with me... yet because I couldnīt decide in the spot! I loved both and believe they are among the top tennis offered in the market at the present time. I believe I would be very well served with whatever choice I make but would apreciate some opinions about one and the other to see if it helps me make up my mind. Unfortunetly not even the price could be a tie bracker since they cost the same!
Wow... what a pleasent though choice

Forgot to mention. I had the chance to try a few days ago the Vapor VI and I hated them in comfort matter. Do not want to upset all the vaporīs fans but it just did not feel right in my feet. Not comfortable at all. Just my opinion.

If you had money to buy only one pair of shoes would you buy the Barricade 5's or the Court Ballistecs 1.3's?

For me, Court Ballistec 1.3's are the best shoes ever, the only problem is that they aren't very resistant.
Even the Barricade 6, I had the chance to try, aren't at the level of CB 1.3. Barricades ( 5 and 6 ) make me fell that i'm wearing ankle support.
Maybe you should wait for CB 2.3 ? According to Babolast they are lighter than 1.3.

Barricades VI??? Iīm missing something because here in Europe I canīt find them amywhere, not even on Internet... are they already available???
I know that the new CB are coming out on January but I need a pair of tennis shoes now since the ones I have are poor quality and long gone. I started to play tennis on a regular base and my feet are resenting from the lack of quality shoes.
I know that nowadays it is hard to find some resistant pair of shoes but I had the impression that the CB 1.3 were among the most resistant ones in Nike collection. I also had the impression they would resist longer than the Barricades V also, but not 100% sure if it is true or where I got that information from.
Finally, I only have money to buy a pair (that is the all threadīs point If I had money for 2 pairs I would just buy one of each
Forgot also to say that I play 50/50 between hard courts and European clay courts so the shoes should be convenient for both types of court.

Barricade 6's coming out next year too. I need new shoes and I might buy some sale shoes or wait until the new ones come out.

I have both the barricade V's and the CB 1.3's.

They're both great shoes but if I had to bring it down to a definite choice I'd chose the Barricades every time. They're my standard match-play shoe while I wear the CB1.3's for practice and leisure.

Personally I've played with the barricades for several years now (from series 3 and on) and they have never failed me. Ever. I find that with the CB 1.3's I have less traction control and have actually fallen on Hard-true courts with them. On the other hand, the CB's do mold to your feet better. If one isn't used to the feel and weight of the Barricades it can be a bit taxing. One last note which may seem a bit strange--The CB's slide better on hard-true and clay. While the Barricades are more stable and controlled, the CB's seem to get a much cleaner slide.
