Default Question about prize money

http://tennislink.usta.com/tournamen...t.aspx?T=72758

Does the " $1,000 " prize money get awarded for every group?
By group I mean MW(Op)sd; X(Op)d; NMW(3.5)d; FS(0)d ?

So if I were to win FS(0)d with my father, we would get $1,000 dollars in prize money?

And can a Father-Son doubles team accept prize money in a tournament?

Thank you!

I'm not familiar with this tourney but I would guess that there is a $1000 total prize pool for the entire tourney. Winners from every event will probably get one or two hundred tops. They might give more to the events with more entrants.

Call them.

My best bet is that its the open division that gets the money. I could be wrong so calling them is your best bet.

Can a Father-Son doubles team accept prize money in a tournament? Because I know that juniors in USTA don't accept the prize money

Well I believe they can as long as its just covering the tournament fees but I'm not sure seeing as I've never won a prize tournament and never will risk getting kicked outta high school tennis.

Just have them write it to your dad. That way you took no money. You can write it out as expenses but if its easier to write it out to your dad.
