Default sampras custom

i've been tryin to fin exactly how he applied lead on 3-9 o'clock on his pro staff , like how much on each side. the clearest close up i found shows that he has the first strips the longest, then on top its a shorter one and another one on top of that. i know what type of lead tape it is but besides the 3 layers i can't tell whats in the handle...etc. If you guys know please reply.

It doesn't work that way, bud. Each racquet that was built for Pete required different ammounts of weight added, as well as to the distrobution of that weight. Sure, you can add the same ammount of visible lead to the frame, but that doesn't accomplish anything, other than just cosmetics. As to the weight in the handle, each racquet started out with different specs, thus each required different ammounts of weight. You must also remember Pete's handle is custom, and the material is far heavier than that of a stock 6.0.

Nice picture.

Go back to the old boards and the Nate Ferguson interview - fairly reliable details there about Pete's frame if you're keen to copy it.

He's spinnig the racquet there, it can't be the actual balance point, I can do this with the stock Tour 90, though the balance poing is closer to the handle. The old boards definately have all the info you need, they've got the interviews with the stringer. There was also a thread in this(new) forum that had all the links to the old threads.

Where can you find a clear close-up of his racquet?
