I don't think anyone was comparing Korolve to DP to begin with. I want to date you. |

If you're trying to say Korolev is going to start magically winning slams now ala Federer, it aint happening. He could be a top 20 player at best, but after that is stretching it. He'll be lucky to get to 1-2 GS QF in his career.

I didn't see anyone comparing Korolev to Federer.Fed is only one,and he's the GOAT for a reason-->there are no others like him.

I saw him play in that match in 07 vs Blake. He played spectacular tennis. Lights out stuff. Really surprised he hasn't made more noise since then. Not sure if it's mental or just consistency. Top 20 is bold for sure. But he has the talent there. If he can develop more consistency, he can definetly make it to that 25-30 range for sure, though top 20 may be pushing it a bit. |

Korolev has top 20 tools. In the same mold as Kafelnikov, there really are no blatant weaknesses in his game. I was impressed with Korolev when I watched him at the challenger. In my opinion, he looked to have better shot making talent off the forehand than Soderling. Although, I remember Soderling's serve and backhand a notch above Korolev's. The key for Korolev is to dictate with the forehand.

I think he's got what it takes to win a title or two in the fall season and go deep in some draws through the other hardcourt stretches in the year. It'd be awesome to see him make it as far as a slam QF, too. |

Korolev is decent if he can improve his movement/shot selection even slightly he'll shoot up the rankings. Great power on his groundies and not bad at the net either.
