User name changes requests are not generally honored unless there is a significant reason for doing so (for instance, if you registered a long time ago, when the board was much smaller, and used your full, real name, and now that the board is larger, you want to change it due to privacy reasons). Since your account is relatively young, chances are you're going to have to re-register.

Thanks but who would I put the request in to, I think its a fair request. My Current username was made before I started stringing and now I would like it to be something stringing related

Done that. Still says "upload fail" even though i made it 80 x 80.

Then it's probably the file size that's too big, not the image size.

Upload the picture to an imagehost, such as tinypic, and I'll resize it for you!

I just found my reply was deleted from a thread on Odds and Ends on the CanadianChic's Corner thread. I didn't say anything that didn't comply with policy or that violated policy, so I am completely shocked at the moderators response, or one of them. Fee had said she wondered if there were others posters on TW who had "come out" as Ricky Martin did, or who might come out. And I only replied some were, and that I had written an article about how some sports, including tennis, were very sensitive about male players especially, doing so. How does that get deleted? I didnt post any links or address anyone directly but only the theme presented. Are some people allowed to say certain things and others are not even permitted to reply to their words?

I have been around TW for 4 years. I have never been banned or even warned, because nothing I will ever do would go towards violating policy or rules. That was completely a shock for me. It seems very subjective indeed.

We invite your participation in the Talk Tennis message boards, as long as you’re willing to abide by a few basic policies.

1. No obscene or profane language is allowed. This one’s pretty easy – none of the "Big 7" dirty words you used to not be able to say on television are allowed. Our moderating filter is designed to catch these words. Any that slip through will be deleted. Repeat offenders will be asked to discontinue. Persistent offenders will be banned from the boards.

2. No personal attacks or abusive language is allowed. If you have a problem with someone, take it off of Talk Tennis. Antagonistic behavior will not be tolerated. Debating issues and opinions is fine, but flaming and insulting won’t be tolerated.

3. Any questioning, flaming, or trolling of moderation/admin on the boards will not be tolerated. Posts concerning moderation will be deleted. Persistence can be cause for banning. If you have a legit concern about moderation, email discussadmin@tennis-warehouse.com

4. No promotion or advertising of Tennis Warehouse competitors allowed. This is our message board and we pay to maintain it. If you want to discuss a competitor, please be respectful of our request and do this privately, not on Talk Tennis. Violating this policy will result in an immediate two-week ban. Further violations will result in a permanent ban.

5. The For Sale/Trade forum is provided for sales of used, personal tennis equipment. No sales of new products are allowed. No dealers or anyone in the business of selling racquets. This applies to the Classifieds section. Tennis Warehouse is in business to sell tennis equipment. Please feel free to sell used personal gear only. Any posts advertising new products will be deleted. Repeat offenders will be banned from Talk Tennis. Also, no links to E-Bay auctions are allowed. For sale posts and messages are permitted in the For Sale forum only. Posts in other forums will be removed and may result in the user being banned. No for sale posting or commercial links in signatures or user profiles.

6. No pornography. If you choose to include attached images, that’s fine. Just keep it clean and avoid any that could be interpreted as porn – soft or hard. This includes avatar images. There’s a wide range of ages that post on Talk Tennis and we want material posted to be acceptable to all. Tennis Warehouse reserves the right to remove any images we determine may be offensive.

7. No commercial solicitation. No posting of torrents or downloads of copyrighted material.

8. No spamming the forums with off topic posts. Spamming the forums will result in an immediate ban.

9. No trademarked or copyrighted usernames allowed.

10. We allow one username per user. If we find you have more than one username, this is cause for an immediate ban.

Tennis Warehouse reserves the right to block access to Talk Tennis for anyone who chooses not to abide by the policies listed above. Thanks for your cooperation and participation on Talk Tennis.

Section "Messaging & Notification" -> Check "Receive Email from Other Members" -> Scroll all the way down -> "Save Changes"

Once you've done that, other users can send you emails via a form here in the forum by clicking the appropriate button in your profile:

If it's not available via their profile, they didn't enable e-mails via their user options. Chances are if they didn't leave an e-mail in their FS/T post, they're a dummy

Only if you have >50 posts. It's to encourage thoughtful posting for newbies. If you have a serious reason (besides embarrassment, etc), use the report post function (red triangle with exclamation point) to report and request a delete.

Please give a look at this thread and tell me where's the connection between a.: 'President's Day', b.: the thread title's "troll" factor and c.: the fact that one week later, that thread's TRUE INTENT has pretty much been revealed (and it had nothing to do with curiousity or taking an interest in other poster's prospective 'holiday' activitities). This is Rant&Raves back-sliding.

How did you correct the listing? Did you take it outside and scuff it on the ground or something? Generally the admins are pretty sharp, slipping one by isn't likely to happen.

A few posts down in this thread, the PM question is answered (there are no PMs at all on TW, they are disabled due to competitor spam. E-mails are active for those who choose to enable it via their User CP. As far as your FS/T, all posts are filtered, and require manual admin approval.
