Thanks for the highlights link. Very impressive. He has wonderful touch and seems to be very good at changing angles as well as length. It will be interesting to see how he develops.

Of course, SoBad loves him, which automatically makes him (scientifically) one of the greatest men to have played the game, just below Safin and Korolev .

Thanks for the video. Also, thanks for your essay in my "Gulbis big time baller" thread earlier.

While I have found myself in disagreement with you on pro tennis at times in the past, I could not agree with you more in this instance.

if anything his serve reminds me of sam querrey's

Thanks for posting that. What I liked is that he put the beatdown on from all over the court...forehands, backhands, serves, volleys and even great dropshots. Robredo had to be thinking WTF!

The kid has a serious game. Big off of both sides. He just needs to keep this results coming.

I was impressed at this guy. Smooth and yet powerful game. He seems very aware of everything at the court, high court sense and a sweet forehand.

He has a nice hybrid serve. LOL, looks like halfway pinpoint... or halfway plattform

Just watched that eight minute highlight clip of his match against Tommy, pretty impressive. Great forehand, good backhand and solid volleying (to my surprise). Could not judge his serve and return from a highlight clip, but from what I heard he is very competent in those departments as well.

Ernests was practicing yesterday in the morning at
Key Biscayne, site of Sony Ericsson Open. The Kid hits the crap out of the ball his forehand seems to be right up there with Gonzo and Del Po.He was playing a set with another player I did not recognize, and seemed to be very frustrated and threw his racquet a couple of times.I have not seen him play much, but by this practice alone seems a bit of a hot head on the court.

his forehand has a massive hitch in it that needs to get fixed very soon. his shot selection and court awareness is awful. he has a big game, but no way to implement it atm.
