But both Jaguar and Land Rover are owned by Tata. Ford sold both in order to free up cash.

BMW: $0 for four years. No other company, foreign or domestic, even comes close.

If anyone wants to know what a reliable car is like, drive a Japanese one for ten years. If anyone wants to know what a well-made car is like, drive a German one for ten minutes.

I read somewheres that Toyota had more warranty claims in 2008 than Chrysler did. So if as you say USA cars are garbage, Toyota must be real Sh*t.

I have a Toyota that was built just outside Lexington, KY. I took the plant tour and was amazed at how fast cars get built. I think that about 95% of the car comes from US materials.

Again, like I said, it is more convenient (and cheaper) to buy American cars because they have many more dealerships everywhere but people would rather go out of their way to pay more for foreign cars. Go figure.

The only american cars worth owning are vettes and mustangs. 2005+ mustangs are cool and comfortable. The camaro is ok too. As far as luxury cadillac is the only car i like. But there northstar engines are a joke and i would neve own one. Lexus ls400-430's absolutely blow away a cadillac as far as reliabilty and enginering. Basic honda accords, toyota camrys also blow away anything from chevy-ford.

I drove German cars for twenty years. A blast to drive but a nightmare on maintenance. I've had my Toyota for ten years and almost 200,000 miles. The Toyota is incredibly boring but it is the most reliable car that I've ever owned. At almost 200,000 miles, it feels like it's new.

Ive got a 370hp mazda built in japan

You can't compare brands using reliability as an argument anymore. Its too variable. One toyota will last 300K miles and the next will need tranny replacements after 10K. Its a luck thing more than a brand. Especially now when many cars come with 100K mile warranties.

Currently driving American (2003 F150), but I can tell you right now that when I graduate in a year and a half or so the first car I buy will be a Mustang with the new Coyote 5.0 in it. Awesome...
