I watched the match online from the BBC online feed. Agassi looked a little slow moving to the ball. Also, he seemed annoyed that Andreev was getting to many of the balls Andre thought were winners or real set-up shots. Andreev just seemed to retrieve better and hit with a lot of pace.

He needs to break this losing streak either at Wimby or the US open. If he does not, well then ..... would be a bad indicator.

He looked okay today.. there were some flashes of the Agassi we know.. the one who controls the rallies and moves the other guy from side to side.. but there were also inconsistent patches of hitting and his movement was also a step slow. Unless he has a good string of results and soon I think he'll call it a day. I'd guess it's hard to continue pushing himself when results aren't going his way and the young guns playing nowadays are hungrier, and have bigger groundstrokes than Agassi. Andreev simply hit through Agassi in the third set and u simply got the feeling that whether Andreev won or lost was going to depend on his ratio of winners to unforced errors.

I doubt Andreev was crushing Agassi's serves. Agassi didn't face a break point all match long.

He did hit some very good returns but he was also very inconsistent on the return.. probably one reason why Agassi didn't face a break point. However when there were rallies especially in the third set Andreev most often than not looked like he was the one in control of the point.. i.e. it was more often won/loss on his winner/unforced error than Agassi's shots.

I though Aggasi was serving really well. Infact in the 2nd set he only lost 2-3 points on his serve. It was really impressive untill the tie breaker... There it all fell apart. He just seemed to have that tiny bit of rust in his game. He needs to play more big matches if he wants to go out with a bang. Otherwise I can see him trickling away.

precisely.. and at the moment anyone who steps on court vs Agassi (especially the young guys) see him as ripe for the picking.
